Abstract
The present research work is entitled: "Analysis of splices with mechanical pressure connector in reinforcing steel bars of ¾" and 1" diameters subjected to tensile strength in Abancay, 2021". Its general objective is to verify the influence of the use of mechanical pressure splices on the tensile strength of ¾" and 1" diameter reinforcing steel bars in the city of Abancay-2021. The research sample consists of a total of 16 specimens for ¾" and 1" diameters, that is, 8 ¾" diameter steels will be used, 4 with type 2 mechanical pressure connector and 4 with type 2 threaded mechanical pressure connector and 8 1" diameter steels, 4 with type 2 mechanical pressure connector and 4 with type 2 mechanical pressure connector. From the methodological perspective, the deductive method was used, according to its Orientation This research is applied, from a quantitative approach. The research model is correlational, its level is descriptive-explanatory, and it is of a non-experimental design. The data has been subjected to statistical analysis for its evaluation. From the results obtained, using splices with type 2 mechanical pressure connectors obtained a tensile strength of 1.61 fy for 1" diameters and 1.80 fy for ¾" diameters. For the pressure connectors with type 2 thread, they obtain a tensile strength of 1.60 fy for 1" diameters and 1.80 fy for ¾" diameters; exceeding the minimum requirements of the Technical Building Standard E 0.60 Reinforced Concrete
