Abstract
This research work aims to evaluate the phenology and nutritional value of sillkawi (Bidens pilosa L.) for animal feed - Abancay - 2017, for which the population consisted of 615 Silkawi (Bidens pilosa L.) plants. For the analysis of the sillkawi phenology, a sample of 63 sillkawi plants has been considered, while to determine the nutritional value a sample of 1 kg of sillkawi has been considered before flowering (AF) and another equal after flowering. flowering for the laboratory. The technique used has been observation and the tool has been the observation sheet, reaching the following results: It has a germination of at least 88% and an average of 98.4%, which shows that the loss is almost negligible and that the period in which it has arrived is approximately 3 weeks from its cultivation. On the other hand the period until flowering is approximately 13 weeks is 81 days. Regarding the agronomic characteristics, it has been found that at week 13 it reaches a height of 133.48 cm on average, it can also be noted that the significant increase in plant height is carried out from week 7 to week 11 and after it. the increase in size is not significant, so it is stated that taking into account that the leaf mass is very important, the harvest should be carried out in the 11th or 12th week of its production period. On the other hand, with respect to nutritional value, it has been found that moisture, Ash and Crude Protein content is higher than sillkawi before flowering (AF), while in Crude Fat, Crude Fiber and Total Carbohydrates it is higher than sillkawi in full bloom
